Jurisdictional Supervisor

Evangelist Melody D. Whitley

Evangelist Melody D. Whitley, is the sixth child of Superintendent Sam and Elnora Quinn.  She was born in McComb, Mississippi and was raised in the Church of God in Christ.  From her childhood, her parents instilled in her the principles of holiness and living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.  Adhering to these principles led her to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and be baptized with the gift of the Holy Ghost, and would eventually lead her to her God-ordained ministry that still flourishes today.

Evangelist Whitley currently serves alongside her husband, Superintendent Robert W. Whitley in full-time ministry.  He serves as pastor of the Refuge Temple Ministries COGIC in Aberdeen, Maryland.  In addition to her local church responsibilities, Evangelist Whitley currently serves as the First Lady of the North State Line District and the Supervisor of the Department of Women in the Maryland Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.  She previously served as the president of the Business and Professional Women Association and the Assistant Marshall Marshal in Maryland Central as well as Marshall and Assistant Supervisor for the department of women in the Greater Maryland Jurisdiction. Her education background includes a certification as a Life Coach, a Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a  Masters degree in Christian Counseling.

She is a woman of wisdom and grace who is committed to the Lord and to a life of prayer.  She serves heartily and faithfully in her many roles: Evangelist, Counselor, First Lady, Mentor and Friend.  Her greatest joy is being a mom to her six children and G-Ma to nineteen grandchildren who support her and her husband in ministry.

Evangelist Whitley is an anointed woman of God who is admired and respected by the many people whose lives have been touched by her ministry.  She lives by the scripture from Romans 8:28 and always remembers to give glory to God!!
